Miltiades.

Basic Character Information:
Name: Miltiades Thomas.
- Nickname: Miltos.
Age: 26.
Gender: Male.
Looks:
Miltiades has a strong, sturdy, well muscled body. His skin tone is even fairer than your average fair maiden. He has thick, silvery hair which is a tangled mess that he keeps out of his eyes with a circlet. His stone gray eyes seem cold and angry even when he's happy. His giant heritage seems to be evened out by his dwarf side, so he is around the size of the average human.
He wears steel gauntlets that he crafted himself. Steel greaves which were gifts from the man who taught blacksmithing to Miltiades. He also wears steel plated boots and a hardened leather breastplate, with a chain mail shirt under his breastplate.
Personality: Mirthful. Truthful. Kind. Saintly. These words make up the most of this section. However, because of an unfortunate past experience, Miltiades puts on a cruel, evil mask most of the time. Miltiades is actually a mild-tempered man who would put his life on the line to protect any person he saw who was in danger.
If and when Miltiades sees that somebody is honestly and truely trustworthy, he shows them his true 'face'. Miltiades is also a joyous, happy, boisterous guy. And, he's surprisingly nice. If you know him personally and he acknowledges you as a friend, that is.
But, even if you and him happen to know each other very well, and you did something he didn't like, you would have to do something totally courageous or lifethreatening to prove that you are on his side. Just trying to kill him, however, is not enough to anger him as he would actually be proud of them because that would show that they are brave enough to fight him. What really makes him ticked off is if someone hurt his friends without a good enough reason, or just for 'fun'.
Despite the way this man acts, he will only kill someone if he absolutely has to or feels a great urge to do so. Miltiades is also rather caring and thoughtful of others and becomes attached quite quickly. He is also insightful, brave and would give his life to protect complete strangers if he saw that they truely needed help.
Rank Information:
Organization:
Nation:
Race: Half dwarf, quarter giant, quarter human.
Speciality:
Miltiades can use both earth and light magics. He can't be considered adept or strong in the use of these magics, however, the extent he has learned these magics can not be looked down upon.
He was one of the greatest smiths of his village before he was kicked out. Miltiades could create a blade sturdy enough to be struck full-power against a wall of diamond without breaking or chipping in two and a quarter minutes.
Abilities:
Name: Earth Heave. [D-B]
Type: Manipulation.
Element: Earth.
Range: 5 m.
Description: This magic can only be used where there is dirt, mud, rocks, etc. The user manipulates the earth around them, and the more they use, the more strength is at the user's disposal. The reason this ability has three ranks (D, C, B) is because it has a variable strength.
Name: Big Blast. [C]
Type: Offensive.
Element: Light.
Range: 10 m.
Description: An extremely bright burst of light that travels as straight as, well, a beam of light.
Name: Smithical Powers. [A]
Type: Supplementary
Element: None.
Range: None.
Description: Miltiades's knowledge of blacksmithing allows him to be able to repair and build almost anything made of some sort of metal.
Weapons:
Name: Heliac Sabre
Appearance:

Range: The blade is approximately 1.1 m long.
Special Abilities: By placing their hand on the guard, the wielder can make the blade emit a bright light. The sword can be charged, by the wielder's magic, so the light's brightness would be stronger.
Origin: This blade is said to be the brother to Claiomh Solais. It was created by and later blessed by the gods of the sun. Long ago, it was the weapon of the king of a vast kingdom that was fighting against the gods, and after twelve years of war, the gods sealed the kingdom with a rock not even giants could hope to lift. Humans looking for gold happened to find the kingdom. As it was passed down, it got into the Marinos family. Miltiades's uncle stole it when he ran away as a child. He gave it to Miltiades just before Miltiades got kicked out of the village.
History and RP Sample:
History: From his birth into his rather wealthy and noble family, Miltiades hated his life. His darn clothes were all skin-tight, restricting his movement. His annoying sisters were always teasing him about his strange hair colour. His brother and his friends always bullied him because he was a 'runt' and their half brother. But these were not the reasons why he hated being the son of nobles. Miltiades didn't even take notice of their tauntings. His reason was that no one loved him. And if they did, they certainly had a strange way of showing it. Why, his own mother thought nothing was right about the boy. But, Miltiades loved them unconditionally. It was just his nature. He was a good, patient, quiet, honest boy.
One day, while young Miltiades was playing outside in the fields, a raggedy man passed by him. Miltiades had never seen anyone so dirty, so he was curious as to what the man was doing. Young Miltiades shadowed the man for a full hour. The stranger had been walking in circles the entire time, with Miltiades maybe only two steps behind. Finally, young Miltiades had gotten bored of the man and his circle walking. But, just as he was about to turn around, the raggedy man had whipped round and brought out a sickle from somewhere in his clothes and put it to the poor boy's neck. First, he threatened the boy to slit his throat if he were to scream. Then, he said that if the boy were to tell anyone about the man, he would kill young Miltiades's family. Next, he ordered Miltiades to get him some proper clothing and food and to meet him back where they were currently when he had gotten the stuff.
Miltiades would have gotten him the items even if the man hadn't threatened him. That's just how he was. So, Miltiades made the plan to go home to take a particularly old set of his father's clothes, and an entire loaf of bread and some fresh smoked steak for the man. It had been just after the breakfast dishes had been cleaned and so the kitchen and smoking room were empty of the servants. That had been the easy part.
The hard part had been getting the clothes. Miltiades's father kept all of his clothes in his own room. New and old alike. His father had slept in that day. Even Noblemen got tired of partying. Just as Miltos was opening the door of his fathers' wardrobe, the old man stirred for a moment then fell back to his calm rest. Miltides had forgotten that the door's hinges were creaky. At the exact moment Miltiades opened the wardrobe, his father woke, so, little Miltos jumped into the wardrobe and covered his body with some clothes from the wardrobe floor. About fifteen minutes later, Miltiades's father opened his wardrobe and stared right at his son. But, he didn't even acknowledge the fact that someone was in front of him, because he wasn't expecting it and because he was too sleepy. Miltos's father took down a tunic and trousers. He left the door of the wardrobe open and changed into the clothes he had taken. Then, he exited the room.
Miltiades quickly grabbed a shirt and pants and dashed outside of the house and went to meet the mysterious man. It took him another fifteen minutes to find him. The man was kissing a cross shaped object that had a loop at the top part. As he saw Miltiades, he roughly shoved it into his grimy shirt. The man hastily ran away. Miltiades attempted to run after the man, but due to the constraints of his pants, he was forced to limp after the strange man.
An hour or so later, Miltiades was sure it was lunch time. He tried to run the way home, but he still wasn't able to, so he had to be content walking home. It took him another hour just to get out of the forest he had followed the strange man into. Just as he got into view of his house, he saw human-like figures rushing away from his home. He would normally not have thought anything was wrong with that but the way they were nearly sprinting away with several bags in hand, it seemed strange. In sudden panic, Miltiades stripped off the tight trousers and hurried along the path towards his home.
All that needs to be said is Miltiades was horrified from the sight and he ran away. But before he left, he saw the exact same cross with the loop that the man had been holding stabbed into his father's chest. He had taken this with him. As he returned half a day later, there were at least a hundred people surrounding the house. Miltiades waited for maybe another half hour and the crowd dispursed. He snuck inside and stole all the money and food that the people who murdered his family didn't.
For about a year, Miltiades lived miserable and hungry on some highway. Every time a highway man, mounted or a footpad, usually the latter, tried to rob him, Miltiades stabbed them with the cross. But, he never killed anyone. He knew instinctively where to poke them just to hurt them, and how to not kill them.
Soon enough, Miltiades became a thief himself. He learned how after so many failed attempts on himself. He even managed to steal from several wealthy and powerful (in social stature) noble families. But once, when he tried to pickpocket a single unarmed man, all clothed in black, he nearly lost his life. The man had acted solely on impulse. He hadn't attacked the boy on purpose. The man, in forgiveness, treated the boy back to full health and raised him as his own child and became his teacher as well.
A year after Miltiades was adopted by Cortez Thomas (the man in black), Cortez decided to tell the boy the truth about his adoptive father. He explained everything, (other than what he would need to kill Miltiades for knowing) from the moment Cortez walked into the Alliance's arms to the day that the two had met. But he hadn't needed to. Miltiades had already found out the most important parts of it by himself. That had been because he was curious and had followed Cortez whenever he left for work.
Miltiades soon turned fifteen and Cortez enlisted him in the Alliance. Miltiades learned that the ankh-ish thing his family's murderers had left behind was the mark of a cult whose sole purpose was to dominate the world with their kind. Psychopaths who thought they were vampires. He hated them for it, for killing his family, for their very existence. Soon enough, Miltiades rose through the ranks and became the strongest of the entire Alliance. It only took him maybe a year and a half, as the Alliance had only thirty members. The reason was because the Vampires apparently had the gods' help. They hired about six or seven DemiGods as bodyguards. And, all the people the Alliance sent out to kill the Vampires were not strong enough to even scratch the DemiGods. They all died.
After another half year, the Alliance's numbers had fallen to sixteen. That was when the Vampires chose to act. They sent their bodyguards to get rid of the rest of the Alliance. However, the god who gave the DemiGods their powers had long become weary of the Vampires, so the god ordered his DemiGods to kill all of the Vampires. The DemiGods came to the Alliance's headquarters to apologise, then they left to follow other orders of their god.
Miltiades left the Alliance, as he had no use for them anymore. Cortez wasn't even a part of the Alliance at that point. He had been sent on a mission to kill the Vampires a little while previous. He never returned. Miltiades found a small village about two or three days away from the headquarters. He was taken in by a family who were actually his relatives.
However, this family wasn't nearly as rich as his own. The reason for that was because the father of this family, Miltiades's uncle, had run away from home when he was younger to study magic. While in this village, Miltiades learned many things. He learned how to read and write. He learned magic, and he learned how to craft swords, weapons and armour from possibly the best blacksmith in the entire world. He lived in the village for about five years. However, somehow the village chief learned that Miltiades was both part dwarf and part giant, AND that he was a member of the Alliance. To outsiders, the Alliance simply appeared to be fools chasing larger idiots.

Re: Miltiades.
Looks needs to be two paragraphs please. Other than that all good. But if you want you can make more abilities, one ability per specialty is fine just pointing it out.
